Wedding pictures are ready, finally!!!

After weeks of waiting, the wedding pictures are finally ready and to be collected at the Shalom Bridal House.
Flashback: February 1st, 2008 Ai Wah and I took the day off for the pre-wedding photo shooting at the Shalom Bridal House. The shooting was set be a 5 hrs session with both indoor and outdoor locations. Curious and excited we were getting ready!

Shortly after 11:00 AM we arrived at the bridal house at Jalan Kelawei. Packed with clothes and shoes we were led to the dressing room for make-up and styling. The gowns we selected with the family the day before were all prepared and ready on a hanger.
After we settled down and a short briefing on the shooting sequence, the make-up artist started. The important point for both of us that make-up and styling was not overdone. That was something we already had in mind when we were looking out for the right bridal studio.

After awhile we were both ready and dressed for the first shooting. The photographer was giving us some instruction on the stand, posing and our smiles. While acting natural the first set of pictures was taken. Now back to the dressing room and getting ready for the next set. Through out the shooting we had about 6 different dressed that we jumped in and out again. All the time we were accompanied by 2 assistants.

Around 1:30 PM we had our lunch that was provided by the bridal studio and after that the final indoor takes in traditional Chinese and Japanese clothes. Then we moved...

And started the outdoor session. First location was an old brick wall along a meadow. Highlight at that location was both of us sitting in the grass. After the 5 takes we went back into the van we moved on. While we were on the road, changing of my shirt was on the plan. And then it happened. On the way to the beach location it started to rain. Thanks to some blue sky and slow moving clouds we found a nearby seaside location for the 2nd outdoor shooting.
Our 3 location was a sandy beachside near Georgetown and the shooting ended at Fort Convallis with some beautiful takes.

Tired, exhausted and still smiling we went back and changed to our comfortable shorts and flipflops. Ai Wah and I concluded the shooting with a big refreshment at Coffee Bean...well deserved.
To our surprise the raw pictures were available a few days later and we could decide what to take in the albums and how.
